Clinical Training Fellowship

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak we regret to inform you that the Clinical Training fellowship round of October 2020 has been cancelled. Further information regarding the upcoming Clinical Training fellowship calls in 2021 will be provided end of 2020.

ERS Clinical Training Fellowships enable members in the early stages of their careers in respiratory medicine to visit a host institution in a European country other than their own to learn a skill or procedure not available at their home institution. This medical training should benefit the home institution when the successful applicant returns there.

Available fellowships:

  • Standard Clinical Training Fellowship: funding candidates from Europe or overseas to Europe.
  • Scientifically developing countries (SDC) Clinical Training Fellowships: funding candidates from Europe or overseas (country with a scientific respiratory gap and or low income) to Europe (EU/EEA).
  • ERS/Indian Chest Society (ICS) Joint Fellowhsip : funding candidates from India to Europe.
  • ERS/ERN-Lung Joint Fellowship: funding qualified clinicians or healthcare professionals currently employed in respiratory medical practice, with specific experience in rare respiratory disease.
